The new Renesis engine from Mazda





Mazda has just introduced a patent on his new Renesis Wankel engine. The Mazda rotary engine has been present for several years on the RX-8. But its fuel consumption is excessive, and more and more marginal at the time of down-sizing. The Japanese returned to the attack with a new type of block cheaper.

So far, the main argument for the Mazda Renesis was that it produced more power to blocks of the same capacity. Proportionally, this means less consumption.

The patent for the direct injection was granted last month. Mazda could, thereby, renewing its product range and develop a set of powerful models and less greedy. In the present context, this mini-revolution seems useful, if not essential.

This new type of block Renesis has, moreover, was developed to run on gasoline as hydrogen.
Although the approach is sound, renewal Renesis rotary engine is not completely effective. Other green technologies, more advanced, pushing manufacturers to abandon the rotary engine.
