Pagani: No Huayra for the United States!
Blow to Horacio Pagani that focused heavily on sales of Huayra in the United States to grow a little, in fact, the NHTSA comes to block approval of the Italian supercar the day of its first American presentation due to lack of 'airbags.
Pagani has not had a chance to Tesla or Lamborghini, a few years ago who were able to register their cars without airbags. While the car was officially unveiled earlier this week before an audience of potential buyers, the Italian manufacturer will have to wait to do business and review its copy and arrange for his car either equipped with airbags with the US standards.
Horacio Pagani, a priori not very comfortable in terms of treasury, be objected that it will cost his company some 4 million euros for the compliance of his car which is registered anywhere in the world but as the Italian manufacturer hopes to sell dozens of Huayra in the United States each year, it can not simply ignore this safety equipment that is going to grow and develop with IDIADA Italy which is able to performing the studies and analysis to make the airbags needed the approval of the supercar in the United States.
Even if it will be done, the marketing of the car will be delayed and the powerful Italian will therefore arrive in the United States with the year 2014 (ie July 2013) which represents a loss to the manufacturer who already has a number of potential buyers.
